Nursing Students Establish Foundation

When three senior nursing students wanted to attend an out-of-town conference in 1995, they ran into an obstacle not uncommon to college students — none of them had enough money. The trio went to work to raise money for the trip. In the end, they raised even more than they needed, and used the extra funds to establish a foundation to help future nursing students with similar expenses. Today, thanks to those students and to others who have contributed to it, the BPW Foundation helps nursing students attend conferences and participate in other activities that further their education.
